Eric Stine Appointed as CEO to Lead Sitecore into Next Phase of AI-Driven Growth
Sitecore, a global leader in digital experience management software, has announced the appointment of Eric Stine as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
This leadership change comes at a pivotal moment for Sitecore, which has recently overhauled its core Digital Experience Platform (DXP) and Content Management System (CMS) to meet the demands of the AI era. Stine’s extensive experience in scaling enterprise software companies is expected to propel Sitecore’s market reach and reinforce its position among top-tier global brands.
Having previously served as Chief Operating Officer, Stine played a key role in advancing Sitecore’s go-to-market efforts. Under his leadership, Sitecore’s AI-powered SaaS solution, XM Cloud, has significantly expanded, doubling global revenues, boosting customer retention, and deepening strategic partnerships.
“I’m honored to lead Sitecore through the next phase of growth and innovation,” said Eric Stine. “Our team, clients, and partners make Sitecore uniquely positioned to simplify how brands reach, engage, and serve their customers.”
Sitecore’s clientele includes globally respected organizations such as Blue Yonder, CIMIC Group, Equifax, INEOS Automotive, QBE, RAI Amsterdam, Shure, and Zurich Insurance Group. Stine emphasized, “With the most advanced AI-powered DX platform and an unmatched ecosystem, Sitecore delivers personalized customer connections at a global scale.”
Darren Roos, Chairman of Sitecore’s Board, added: “Eric’s proven ability to lead high-performing teams and his technical and strategic insight make him the ideal leader for this next wave of Sitecore’s growth.” Roos also extended gratitude to outgoing CEO Dave O’Flanagan for his transformative leadership and for laying a strong foundation for future innovation.
O’Flanagan, who joined Sitecore through the acquisition of Boxever, led the company’s shift to a cloud-native, AI-capable DXP platform. Though stepping down from daily operations, he will continue advising the Board.
Before joining Sitecore, Stine served as CEO of Elemica, a digital supply chain platform. His past roles also include Chief Commercial Officer at Skillsoft, Chief Revenue Officer at Qualtrics, and over a decade at SAP, where he led customer-centric initiatives across North America.
AI remains central to Sitecore’s strategy. Its recent partnership with Microsoft underscores its commitment to equipping marketers and developers with leading-edge AI capabilities.
With Eric Stine at the helm, Sitecore is set to accelerate its vision of empowering brands through data-driven, AI-enabled digital experiences that deliver measurable business outcomes.
