Blue Cloud Moves IBM Cloud Project into Execution

Hyderabad-based Blue Cloud Softech Solutions has commenced delivery of a US$15.5 million (approximately ₹147 crore) AI infrastructure project for IBM Cloud Inc. The engagement is being executed by its wholly owned US subsidiary, Global Impx Inc., under a signed Statement of Work.

The project is focused on designing, deploying and supporting infrastructure for artificial intelligence and machine-learning workloads. It will be implemented in New Jersey, USA, through a 13-phase delivery plan, with project reviews scheduled at least once every two weeks.

Blue Cloud had announced the contract in September 2026. The commencement of delivery marks the transition from contract signing to implementation.

First Two Implementation Phases Underway

Work began on September 22, 2026, with the initial phases covering requirement gathering and infrastructure assessment.

These activities will establish the technical requirements and evaluate the infrastructure needed to support AI workloads. The next stages will involve architecture design, infrastructure deployment, testing and production handover.

The project is structured around four broad stages:

  • Design: Assessment of AI workloads and existing infrastructure, followed by high-level architecture and detailed design.

  • Build: Deployment of GPU computing clusters, high-performance storage and networking, AI/ML platforms and Kubernetes-based orchestration.

  • Secure and operate: Implementation of identity and access controls, network segmentation, encryption, monitoring, backup and disaster recovery.

  • Validate and hand over: Performance testing, documentation, knowledge transfer and production handover, followed by a stabilisation and support period.

The infrastructure is intended to support model development, training, fine-tuning and inference.

Defined Service Levels and Payment Milestones

The agreement includes specific operational service levels. Infrastructure and GPU availability must reach at least 99.5%, while critical alerts are to be notified within 15 minutes and critical incidents responded to within 30 minutes.

The US$15.5 million fixed fee, excluding applicable taxes, will be paid through five project milestones:

The contract represents approximately 14.7% of Blue Cloud's consolidated revenue of ₹1,002 crore for FY2025–26, according to the company's exchange disclosure.

Global Impx Strengthens Blue Cloud's US Operations

Global Impx became a wholly owned subsidiary of Blue Cloud in June 2026. It provides AI infrastructure, data centre and technology services to enterprise customers in the United States.

The IBM Cloud engagement expands the subsidiary's role in delivering enterprise AI infrastructure and supports Blue Cloud's strategy of growing its US business.

Blue Cloud provides AI solutions and infrastructure, cybersecurity, telecom and 5G services, and healthcare technology. The company is headquartered in Hyderabad and has operating entities in the United States, United Kingdom and India, with operations in six other countries.

Why Enterprise AI Infrastructure Matters

As organisations move AI applications from experimentation into production, infrastructure requirements become more demanding. Model training and inference require access to powerful GPUs, high-performance storage, reliable networking and secure computing environments.

The IBM Cloud project illustrates the range of services involved in preparing infrastructure for enterprise AI workloads. Beyond hardware deployment, it includes security, monitoring, operational support and performance validation.

For Blue Cloud, successful execution will depend on meeting the project's technical requirements, delivery milestones and service-level commitments.

With requirement gathering and infrastructure assessment underway, the next stages will focus on architecture approval and deployment planning. The project provides the company with an opportunity to expand its presence in the enterprise AI infrastructure market through its US subsidiary.
