Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s largest IT services company, announced an agreement on Tuesday with ManageEngine, a unit of Zoho Corporation, to further India’s sovereign cloud mission. Under the deal, ManageEngine’s enterprise IT solutions will be deployed on TCS Sovereignsecure Cloud, which the company describes as its indigenous, AI-enabled cloud offering, according to a company statement reported by PTI.
The tie-up pairs two Indian technology firms around the idea of sovereign cloud, meaning cloud infrastructure and services operated within the country.
What’s not yet public
The report is short and doesn’t say which ManageEngine products will be offered, what the commercial terms are, or when the deployment starts. It also gives no quotes from either company’s executives or any target customers, such as government bodies or regulated industries. Fuller details may follow in the companies’ own announcements.
