Triple Recognition from Brandon Hall Group
The Brandon Hall Group™ HCM Excellence Awards® honor organizations that successfully build and deploy programs, strategies, and technologies delivering measurable business results in human capital management. Morningstar's AI Academy earned recognition across three categories: Gold for Best Custom Content, and Silver for Best Learning Strategy and Best Use of AI for Learning.
The awards reflect Morningstar's strategic approach to building AI fluency across the organization, with a focus on helping employees develop the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to use AI effectively and responsibly in their day-to-day work.
"AI Academy is designed to help employees put AI to work in meaningful ways while using it responsibly. By tailoring the experience to Morningstar's business, we've seen participants turn curiosity into action, from streamlining everyday workflows to developing and sharing AI-powered solutions. This recognition reinforces the value of investing in AI capabilities that can scale across the organization."— Kevin Seifert, Senior Director of Learning and Development, Morningstar
Inside the 10-Week Learning Journey
AI Academy is structured as a 10-week learning journey that helps employees build AI confidence, explore responsible use cases, and better understand Morningstar's AI landscape. The program combines self-paced learning, facilitated sessions, peer collaboration, and hands-on practice so participants can apply AI directly within their own roles.
Since launch, the program has reached more than 6,000 colleagues globally — representing over half of Morningstar's workforce. Participants have applied what they've learned to improve research, content creation, analysis, communications, and other everyday workflows.
