WALSH'S SALES LEADERSHIP

Aurascape, the enterprise AI security company, has appointed Jim Walsh as Chief Revenue Officer, tasking him with leading its global revenue organization as enterprise demand for AI security surges. The hire lands on the back of a year in which the company's revenue grew 59x year over year.

A Milestone Hire for a Fast-Scaling Category

Walsh will lead Aurascape's global revenue organization, expand customer and partner relationships, and accelerate enterprise adoption of its AI security platform worldwide. The appointment follows a year of rapid growth, with the company pulled forward by Fortune 500 companies and other enterprises in highly regulated industries looking to embrace AI without exposing sensitive data or opening new security gaps.

Across hundreds of thousands of users worldwide, Aurascape helps organisations safely accelerate AI adoption by securing every interaction across the AI tools employees use and the applications and agents companies build and buy.

Jim Walsh's Track Record

Walsh joins Aurascape from Placer.ai, where he served as Senior Vice President of Sales. His background spans two decades of enterprise revenue leadership across cybersecurity and technology, including Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Skycure, Americas sales leadership at MobileIron, and senior sales roles at Symantec and Vontu.

At MobileIron, Walsh played a role in growing the company's revenue organization in the years leading up to its IPO — a track record Aurascape is counting on to scale its own go-to-market motion through a period of rapid enterprise adoption.

"AI traffic is rapidly becoming the core of enterprise traffic."

— MOINUL KHAN, CO-FOUNDER AND CEO, AURASCAPE

What Aurascape Actually Does

Aurascape provides real-time visibility and control across the AI tools employees use and the AI applications and agents organisations build. The platform discovers sanctioned and unsanctioned AI use, decodes conversations and user intent, protects sensitive data, prevents AI-specific threats, and enforces policy inside the interaction itself.

Those controls extend everywhere AI shows up in the enterprise — browsers, desktop applications, coding assistants, copilots, command-line tools and agentic workflows. Unlike security platforms built for traditional web and SaaS traffic, Aurascape says its architecture was engineered specifically for AI's conversational, multimodal and increasingly autonomous nature.

Company Snapshot

Headquartered in Silicon Valley, Aurascape is backed by Mayfield Fund, Menlo Ventures and Celesta Capital, alongside a group of cybersecurity executives. The company came out of stealth in April 2025 with $50 million in funding.

Aurascape's research arm, Aura Labs, has separately drawn attention for uncovering AI-specific attack vectors, including a disclosed vulnerability in ChatGPT Agent Mode and a scheme that manipulated AI tools into recommending scam airline support numbers.
