Semperis, the identity-driven cyber resilience and crisis response company, has named Jimmy McNary as Deputy Federal CTO for Semperis Federal. The newly created role places McNary, a U.S. Navy veteran with more than 25 years of cybersecurity and federal IT experience, at the centre of the company's push to expand identity security adoption across defense and civilian government agencies.

A Newly Created Role for Federal Identity Strategy

In his new position, McNary will lead technical strategy and engagement for government customers, partners and the broader public sector market, with a focus on driving identity security adoption across defense and civilian agencies.

Most recently, McNary served as Vice President of Federal Solutions at Semperis, where he was responsible for driving adoption of the company's identity security platform across the Department of Defense and federal civilian agencies — experience that positioned him for this expanded leadership remit.

From the Navy to the Federal Cybersecurity Frontlines

Before joining Semperis, McNary led intelligence agency deployments and federal adoption efforts at early-stage companies including ArcSight, Endgame and Securonix. He also spent a decade as a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer and Lead Security Architect at Raytheon, SAIC and Northrop Grumman, supporting mission-critical national security programs.

Throughout his career, McNary has supported multiple intelligence agency cybersecurity missions, spoken frequently at federal cybersecurity conferences, served as an ICIT Fellow, and completed cybersecurity studies at Harvard University Extension School.
